I lost count a long time ago of predictions of the end of the world and economic collapse.

Also every single candidate for president of either party has been pronounced the worst threat to American freedom and democracy in history. And every president while in office has been declared the worst ever. I guess we are really sliding downhill and picking up speed.

Don't forget every generation is lazy and ungrateful compared to the one that came before it.



Regarding any "end of the world" prediction....meh. I wish they could get together and pick a date. Y2K, December 21, 2012, now 2013.....the doomers need a better calendar or grasp on reality. Either one.

They are doing just fine, whether they believe their garbage or just make money by lying.

I admire the "gold bugs." When the price of gold is low, they say it's the time to buy because it will never be lower. When the price is high, they say it's the time to buy because it will never be lower. I doubt any of them actually own more than a few gold coins. They just sell books and phony newsletters.

I only feel sorry for the people who really think the world is going to end and do something with irreparable consequences, like the Heaven's Gate cult.

Too true. My investment strategy is: If people are taking out ad space on the radio to tell me what a great investment it is...its probably not a fantastic investment.
