CHL Legal Protection Orginizations

Was thinking of joining one of the organizations that cover legal expenses if a person ever gets in a situation where he/she ever has to draw their weapon. How many out there have joined? Which organization and why? And, have you ever had to use their services? The way I see it, it's basically like having a lawyer familiar with dealing with those type of issues on a retainer. Your thoughts.. Thx.
