Factory refurb sig

Really tempted ,I have seen these a lot at the past few shows. So does anybody have any feed back on a p229 refurb with a 1 year warranty. Or any, as they had several more models on the table and at 500 to 550 sounds good and looks good but is it. Could get a few other name brands new at that price if not a little more. I guess my thing is why 1 year if it is brought back to factory specs. Thanks for any info or comments good or bad.

You can tell if it is factory refurbrished if it is in a red box, thats how Sig ships them. They are totally gone through and everything checked out and all new springs installed, if there is a lot of wear then they do not sell them. Typically they are LE trade in or used at Sig sponsored shoots.

Thanks, salty1 I was hoping for someone that had one would holler and tell his good or bad story. Sig forum is not happy at all with customer service, seems it is a mutaul feeling if you buy a $1000 gun they should be nice to you. But that is a different direction back to the gun yes they were in a red box looked good and clean and the trigger wasn't bad on the dry fire side. I may just suck it up take a risk at least it would make a very nice paper weight.

I bought a red box P239 and I really couldn't tell it wasn't a new gun. It has been completely reliable.

thats what i wanted to hear. I didnt really want another glock to add to the collection, so it was a sig or hk something more for play and range time, dont know how comfortable it will be carrying in the summer time heat. But from what i hear they both shoot well and are pretty reliable.

Sig CPOs are good deal and you can usually see them available om gunbroker.com. Make sure that you don't get one that is a "used" CPO; meaning it's a CPO that somone else already bought and they're reselling as these are not covered under the warranty (just the original Sig CPO purchaser). Just remember that all guns like cars are "used" right after it leaves the store and deffinitely once you put rounds through it.
