Will do. Is there a serial # you'd like to publicize?Broncrider wrote:Hey all, please keep an eye out for a nickel browning bda 380. I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

I despise thieves. Sorry for your daughter's bad luck, being jacked is one of the most annoying things in the world.

With any luck, he'll shoot himself with it while trying out holsterless "Mexican Carry."

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

Re: Browning stolen
How was the gun stored in the car? This is probably my worst nightmare for the times I have to leave my weapon in the car.

Re: Browning stolen
Mine would be easy to steal, assuming you can get into my car easily. I don't have a lockbox--in the market for one, but don't have one now--.
But I carry tupperware. Glocks are easily repaced, and the $399 pricetag isn't going to make me vomit having to pay up for another.

Re: Browning stolen
Sorry to hear about the theft. Be sure to report it on http://www.stolenweapon.com/Stolen-Gun-Home.html . If she's a member of the NRA there is insurance included in membership, at least it used to be for up to $1000 loss. I found a Charles Daly shotgun fifteen years after it was stolen. Never give up!

$2500 is included with your membership, but you have to sign up. If you want additional $$$ coverage, there is a fee.stealthfightrf17 wrote:Sorry to hear this. I did just go to the NRA website and insurance is included for guns, but it does not list how much

Re: Browning stolen
That stinks. I don't have any kind of security safe in my truck. I try to hide the weapon if forced to leave it behind but I am very aware that theives always seem to know just where to look for the good stuff. I purchased a security container a few years ago but quickly relized it would pop open with a little prying from a screw driver. I gave it away. I saw some at a gun show that were custom made for installation in consols or under the seat in certain cars. They seemed pretty secure from being pried but the price for them was more than I could spend at the time. Reading about this happening reminded me I need to do something. Sorry about your loss.
