I was undecided as to where this should be. Here in political issues or over in Off Topic. You be the judge.
A lesson in irony.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile, over at the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals."
Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.
This ends today's lesson.

Definitely belongs here under Political Issues.... because I can't help but respond that the entire goal of the Food Stamp Program (as seen by those who work at/in/for it) is to expand as much as possible. Their Holy Grail would be to have everyone on food stamps, and thereby have everyone dependent on them and the oh-so-wonderful federal government. (Of course, where the money would come from to fund that debacle is a small matter that they can't be bothered to worry about.)

Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves, and will become dangerous if their handouts are threatened.
This ends today's lesson.

The National Park Service is obviously racist as this policy applies only to black and brown bears.C-dub wrote:I was undecided as to where this should be. Here in political issues or over in Off Topic. You be the judge.
