Glock Conversion Barrel
Anyone had any luck with the Glock Conversion barrels? I was looking at getting a lonewolf for my model 22. Just wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Re: Glock Conversion Barrel
I have on for the G27 to shoot 9mm and it's been flawless. Just rememeber to use the same caliber mags as the barrel. Also I've noticed that LW inventory has been on back order for a while as I was looking for a conversion barrel for the G23 for months now.
Re: Glock Conversion Barrel
I have a LW conversion barrel. It takes my G23 (.40) to a .9mm. I have never used it. In fact the barrel and the pistol is for sale. I have loaned it to a friend and he ran 100 rounds through it and had zero malfunctions.
I have a G19 so there was no need for the barrel. It just came in a trade deal. If I did not have a G19 I would keep the barrel. I think it is nice to have to calibers in one pistol.

Re: Glock Conversion Barrel
I have the Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel for the Glock 23 (along with 5 korean G19 mags).
Very few issues @ 4-500 rounds. The only problem I had was related to my reloads being too weak. Factory ammo of 3 types has never FTF/FTE.
Reloads working fine now too after bumping .5 grain more powder. I shoot lead reloads and haven't had much leading (if any) with S&S produced bullets.

Another positive review for the Lone Wolf conversion barrel for the Glock 27. I shoot more out of the 9 conversion than I do the oem .40. I also use the 9 mags.

Re: Glock Conversion Barrel
had Lone Wolf conversion barrel, never used it sold it
have Lone Wolf extended ported barrels in my 9mm carry Glocks (26 and 19)... more accurate than factory barrels in my guns,
Retired Police officer saw me shoot it and several other guns and saw my extremely tight patterns even rapid firing, and said "carry that" I said "I do"
I get them "blind marked" so the wolf and markings are on the underside and don't show ... looks better IMHO.

LW barrels are great, for the most part, but can sometimes be too tight to feed/chamber cast bullets. If you run into this, send a dummy round and the barrel to LW and they'll throat the barrel enough to chamber the bullet you send.
Storm Lake also makes excellent quality after-market barrels and they are priced about the same as LW.
Fire Dragon, KKM and Barsto are all "premium" barrels, but I haven't found they shoot any different than the lower cost LW and SL barrels.
Maybe in the hands of a better shooter the difference can be realized, but, I've never seen any reason to pay the additional money for a "premium" barrel for my shooting.
