Springfield M1A Scope Mount - Ultimak?

Post by Tallinthesaddle »

Finally broke down and bought a basic M1A, 22" barrel. One of the may options I have seen is the Ultimak rail/handguard system for a scope:

It appears you would need to go with a scout type scope or red dot sight since the mount puts the scope further toward the front sight as compared to a Sadlak type mount.
I don't plan to use the M1A for long distance shooting.

Anyone had any experience with this type or have any recommendations?

I don't know if this oen will fit, but Fulton Armory makes the best stuff. Might be worth giving them a call.
