Beretta 92 and CX4 in 10mm Petition on Facebook
For those of you who use Facebook and would be interested in seeing a 10mm Beretta 92 or CX4 in the future go check out the link below.
All you have to do it "Like" it.
I don't know if Beretta will take notice or not but I did get it off of their official FB page so who knows.
I really like the idea of a 10mm model 92, lets see if we can get a little momentum behind this!

10mm Beretta 92
I'd wait until after the initial slide failure issues are resolved
I like 92s,
I don't dislike 10mm ... in fact I like the ballistics on paper ... it just isn't for me. Scared my thumb may fall off if I do a third shot with it
I fired 2 rounds out of a 10mm and have no intention of ever firing one again, nor a 50 cal pistol nor a double barreled 12 gauge pistol ...
respect for those who can use it.

Beretta is too busy making $500 shotguns and selling them for $6,000 to Joe Biden and his buddies.

Re: Beretta 92 and CX4 in 10mm Petition on Facebook
I have owned several 10mm pistols over the last few years and shot even more. The best ones are the 3rd gen smiths and Glocks imo. There are several 1911 varients that are nice (but over priced) also and the EAA are ok. My friends had a problem cracking slides. Don't waste your time with something like the Delta Elite. They have little or no case support and can't even take hot loads in 10mm. S&W and Glock are the way to go!
In current production the Glock is the best platform.
Here is the best shooting 10mm I have ever shot. Wish I could afford one! http://www.cz-usa.com/products/view/dan-wesson-rz-10/

Actually it was a bobtail. They don't make them anymore but here it is. I love those DW/CZ 1911

The FB page shows a PX4 pistol instead of a 92.
The CX4 is a nice little carbine. I have one sitting next to me as I write this. The 9mm, .40 and .45 versions seem to be selling, but I doubt Beretta would think there are enough pistol caliber rifle fans to warrant a 10mm version. I'm all for positive thinking however.

Jeez, if you're going to make a carbine out of a pistol cartridge, the 357 SIG is a better choice, by a long shot (pun intended

Re: Beretta 92 and CX4 in 10mm Petition on Facebook
10mm is one of the best cartridges ever developed. Not to slam the round but the .357sig is a solution for a problem that does not exist, developed to put .357mag power in an auto loader package. The problem is that though originally it did achieve this, they now down load the cartridges so not to over penetrate,at least for the law enforcement people I have discussed this with, and now you have similar ballistics to a 9mm or .40S&W in a difficult to find caliber.
As to the .357sig being superior to 10mm you have to be out of your mind. The 10mm is a ballistic equivalent to the .41mag, and has had great success in hunting and self defense applications. Originally designed for the FBI, it turned out to be a bit much for most to handle.
The .357sig ,at least from what I have seen, does not live up to its design. Ammo can be difficult at best to find and expensive when found. Forget reloading for it, trying to re-size a bottle neck case that small... no sir not me. You can keep it, shoot it, and I hope you enjoy it this is not meant to dissuade you from that, I am giving you as Detective Joe Friday says "just the facts ma'am".

LOL...I wasn't defending the 357SIG, although it is a good cartridge (but crappy for reloading, as you point out). My point is that I think there's more of a market for 357 SIG than 10mm for a carbine. Nothing to do with "superiority".

.357 sig, 9X25 dillion, .40 S&W and yes even the 10mm. I own all (at least with barrel conversion) and you know what they all have in common. They are not true magnums. Case capacity is what they all lack over magnums. As for the .41 mag being the ballistic equivalent to the 10mm. That is like saying the .40S&W is as hot as the 10mm. Sure it can be if the .40S&W is really hot and the 10mm is a very mild load. I have chronographed some hot (max pressure) 10mm loads out of my 6inch barrel and the hot .41mag will do about the same velocities or a little more out of a 4inch barrel in the 170-200 grain range. After that the .41 mag will start to pull away the heavier the bullet gets. Plus the 41 can throw a 265 grain pill if you want it.
All that being said the 10mm is a great cartridge and my personal favorite in semi-auto.Notice I didn't say it was the best. Just my personal favorite. It is at the mid point between 40 S&W and .41mag but not its equivalent. If deep penetration is desired it is hard to find another semi-auto round to compare to a 230 grain 10mm round in the sectional density department. The list is short and many are wildcats or in the Desert Eagle platform (which are magnums).

Favorite carry load.
Underwood Ammo 165 grain gold dot- Does at least 1500fps each shot. I have seen 1534 from my 6inch barrel!

I didn't think the Beretta 92 frame could handle the .357 Sig, much less the 10mm. That's why, I thought, they only released the Beretta 92 in 9mm and .40 S&W (96)
Re: Beretta 92 and CX4 in 10mm Petition on Facebook
they are more than strong enough for the .357sig, but you would most likely have to use a brigadier for the 10mm.Doug.38PR wrote:I didn't think the Beretta 92 frame could handle the .357 Sig, much less the 10mm. That's why, I thought, they only released the Beretta 92 in 9mm and .40 S&W (96)
