Ideas for coating a revolver
I have a Ruger Security Six 357 that was given to me. The problem is that someone polished it
and the gun has no blueing on it at all. I have kept it lightly oiled but was thinking I would like to carry this while I hunt and want it to me a little more durable. I haven't researched the value so I don't want to devalue it by doing this but since I don't have anything in it and will probably just keep it, I was curious of my options. Re-blue, parkerize, etc.

Ruger Security Sixes are very common guns. Since the bluing is completely gone I don't think you could devalue any more than it already is. IMO refinish with anything that suits your fancy.

I don't have any personal experience with them, but, if you're near Fort Worth, there's Armoloy.
