Three men breaking in at 3:30 am are looking for drugs and/or the drug money, and they probably had a reasonable expectation that this apartment would have what they needed.
They could very well have walked out with commercial quantities of drugs, but no-one believes the apartment occupants are going to file that on any stolen goods report.
