Springfield XDS and pocket carry

Does any one that has the XDS tried pocket carry? It looks like it has almost the same dimensions as my s&w bodyguard 380 which I can pocket carry quite easily. I wouldn't mind going up in caliber but a lot of time I need to pocket carry and it would have to work for that.

XDS is considerably larger than the s&w 380 ... i don't own one but have fondled a few at local gun stores - it's close in size to a Walther PPS, and likely a little heavier fully loaded.

I didnt really think there was that much difference, but you were right. It is quite a bit larger.

I would still like to know if anyone has tried pocket carry with the XDS, and how did it go

NT, you need to get the Kimber Solo, in 9mm.
only slightly longer - maybe 1/4 inch and slightly wider, maybe 1/8 inch, but considerably heavier.
You can always grab my wifes Solo and pocket holster and try it?

Check out the Kahr line.... The CM and CW line both offer 9mm, .40, and .45--they are all quite small and affordable

....and reliable....my cw45 eats anything and everything. I can pocket carry it in most dress slacks.

I have pocket carried it before in a Remora holster, I usually just do that when I go out to walk the dog, if I am going to be out for a while I carry it IWB.I usually wear looser clothes so it is not an issue for me, I also have a KAHR CM9 and that is much easier to pocket carry no matter what you're wearing.

I can front pocket carry with cargo shorts or cargo pants. You will likely need a larger pocket to pocket carry the XDS. Can't carry it in my regular jeans as it is to big for them, as the pocket is not that big or baggy enough. Your build and how you dress/what you wear will determine if it is pocket-able or not. I also have a KAHR CM9 and that is much easier to pocket carry no matter what you're wearing.

Im drinking the koolaid and placed an order for a bitone xds hoping to pick it up tomorrow.

though after i paid i found an online dealer selling the black one for 544.50 after shipping...so thinking i might cancel and get that.

Anyone try pocket holsters and if so which brand?

Not with an XDS, but I have a couple of Desantis Nemesis holsters for pocket pistols—one to fit my PM9 and the other to fit my snubbie.
