Side Saddle for Mossberg 500

Post by daniel2002p »

I am wanting to add a side saddle to my Mossberg 500 to have more ammo handy... just in case... plus I like the look of it.
One thing that is kinda interesting is that my pump grip comes over the side of the gun, and most if not all side saddles take up the whole area. I am pretty set on keeping the stock pump grip as I absolutely love it and its very comfy.

Does anyone know if and who would make one that would carry some extra shells and not interfere with the stock pump grip?

Thanks,

1)Treat firearms as if they are loaded. 2)Point the muzzle away from non-targets.
3)Keep fingers off the trigger until ready to shoot. 4)Be sure of your target and backstop.

Not quite a side saddle, but I use a nylon carrier over the stock instead. Mine is a nylon stretch sock that slides on, but you might consider something like
this screw on from Cabela's.

I have a Tacstar on mine and have used a Mesa Tactical before and neither would work with that forend.
You may want to try one of these.

Thanks for all the suggestions... Could not make myself like the look of the side saddle so I went with a Buttstock shell holder since it can be removed easier when I want. I went ahead and ordered this one http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0048K ... 00_s00_i00" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; so we will see if it does the job.
