New specs!!

Post by MoJo »

I picked up a new pair of glasses today. Boy what a difference there is actually a front sight on my handguns now!
The doctor I went to is a shooter and glasses wearer so he understands the problems of shooters with glasses. With the glasses on my face where they are supposed to be, rather than slid about halfway down my nose, I can see my front sight crisp and clear without having to resort to neck contortions and squinting. I can't wait to get to the range and try them. :coolgleamA: :thumbs2: :anamatedbanana

I am embarrassed to tell you how old my glasses are. I need to make an appointment with the eye doc.

Bill, if you are over 50 it's imperative you have regular eye exams. Cataracts, glaucoma and, macular degeneration are only three of the many diseases that can rob us of our sight as we grow more mature. I am a diabetic so I have to keep an close watch on my ocular health. Do your self a favor get your eyes examined. :thumbs2:

Seeing the front sight is nice, but can you also see the target at the same time?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

It's going to be blurry, as long as I can see the sight I can hit the target.

I have found that a pair of 1.00 or 1.25 cheaters (full glasses) make the front site very clear and the target is still very plain to see. I am also on the far side of 50 and I just visited my eye Doc.

This doc is awesome! I can see the front sight like I remember it looking 30 years ago! I'm going to have to re-learn my sights because I was shooting a great group about 3 inches low. I think it's because I can actually see the top of the sight blade instead of hoping the green blob is in the right place. Oh joy!!! :anamatedbanana :woohoo :anamatedbanana
