A common problem with people not familiar with the Beretta sights & using one with the heavy factory spring. Swap in the D model hammer spring (very easy job after you've done a few.) And with the stock sights you are supposed to cover the target with the front sight.
Once you get that figured out, your shooting should work better. You can get to a point where your accuracy is better than the gun's. Then you can look into adding target sights or the barrel nut that is similar to the Stock models.

Beretta does offer adjustable rear sights for these guns.
