Texas State Legislature Races-where is the list?

Post by Heartland Patriot »

I tried to do a search online, but couldn't find anything that would give me a list of who won each of the State House of Representative and State Senate races. All of the pages just give FEDERAL election results. As many on here know, OUR Representatives and Senators will come into session in the coming year, and I want to see what the new roll of folks looks like. Does anyone have a link, or can point me in the right direction so I can see this information? I'd guess others would also like to see this info besides me, as well. Thanks in advance.

Looks like I found it (of course, AFTER I post  ).

Anyway, for anyone else who might be curious.

Texas Republicans have lost the super majority in the house.
What does this mean for the 2013 session

Special Election needed since Deceased Mario won

It was too late for officials to take his name off the ballot. He was widely expected to win again in the heavily Democratic district in order to trigger a special election. Gov. Rick Perry is expected to schedule one for December. The Legislature starts work in January.

The seat is critical to Democrats, who want to keep Republicans from achieving a supermajority in the Legislature's upper chamber. Republicans currently hold 19 seats to the Democrats' 12.

If Republicans can reach 21 seats, they can suspend all rules and pass almost any bill they wish.

How many seats did we lose that caused that to occur? Which seats were they that mattered? I want to know what areas of this state to not spend my money in.

It looks like we lost 9 seats and that won't have any impact. Retirements and incumbent losses in the primary are more important in terms of finding/selecting bill sponsors.

Thank you Mr. Cotton for that tiny ray of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy political sky.
