I've taken my 33-y.o. daughter shooting a few times. While she generally enjoys it, she is very recoil-sensitive so we stick with .22s.
she owns no firearms.
Today, after trading emails about the elections, she said "I think I want a gun for Christmas".
I told her "Tell Santa!".
She said "I just did".
So I'll be shopping for another firearm.

I'm leaning toward a Ruger SR22. I may let her shoot my Walther P22 and see how she likes it, it's pretty similar.
I might also look at one of the DA .22 mag or .22LR/.22M mag convertibles
