U.S. territories like Guam and Puerto Rico get no Federal representation and cannot vote in Presidential elections.

You do realize that Puerto Rico just had a referendum for statehood that passed, right?

I had completely forgotten that they were even voting on it. I wonder what the chances of them gaining statehood are? Adding a new state sure would be interesting... I wonder how much campaigning the 2016 presidential candidates would feel like they'd need to do there "to show our newest citizens how important they are"
