I'm listening to Michael Medved as I type this. A few minutes ago he was talking about this and about the possibility of Amb. Rice being nominated for SecState, and he said that Obama is trying to pick fights with Republicans that he thinks he can win, and that this is a deliberate attempt on his part to try and further dismantle the Republican party. So Republican party leaders have to decide whether or not these issues are the hills on which they want the party to die. He further said that all the conservative talking heads are involved in a circular firing squad with their finger pointing.
Me, I don't really care anymore. If republicans try to fight the nomination of Kerry as SecDef, they'll lose, and they'll just look bad. If they try to block the nomination of Rice as SecState, they're going to lose, and they'll just look bad. Why? Because the democrat party marketing arm—CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN/NPR/PBS—will joyfully see to it.
Obutthead is going to do whatever he wants to do. Period. Nobody can stop it. Then in 4 years the choice will be between his surrogate—whoever that turns out to be—and some lackluster republican without convictions. Why will it be a lackluster republican without convictions? Because Obama's stooges at CBS/NBC/ABC/CNN/NPR/PBS will joyfully see to that nobody's reputation survives intact
unless he is politically acceptable to them. The nation is well and truly headed into the toilet. Don't believe it? Consider the following:
- Liberals control the schools which indoctrinate our children.
- Liberals control the courts which rule in our legal disputes and dispense what passes for justice.
- Liberals control the executive, and the Senate.
- Liberals control the unions in the government workplace.
- Liberals control the dispensation of healthcare.
- Liberals control the AG and the Justice Department, which means that.....
- Liberals control whether or not their own malfeasance will ever be prosecuted.
- Liberals control the news media which reports on these things.
- Liberals control the flow of information to those news outlets.
- Liberals even control the counting of votes by encouraging every kind of electoral law-breaking.
Don't tell me we're not well and truly screwed.
