New advertising program? Sales must be down...hence, make your name known no matter how childish you look doing it.

Gun and ammo sales are not "down", and that's pretty much a nationwide phenomena. Expressing your companys belief's in your advertising is not
childish, it's honest business. Something the POTUS might learn to practice.

I don't see that in the first amendment but anyway the voter exercised their right and the business owner can too.

Explanation of my comment: "I'm mad at you so you can't play with me!" If one has spent time with children statements such as this often dominate conversations. Also, I'm not talking about general gun sales, I'm wondering about this particular gun shop.

NAACP v. Alabama set out freedom of association as a necessary part of free speech guaranteed by the first amendment. Point is that we used to be able to freely associate, and decide whether to sell to whomever we wished. And it was part of our popular culture, to the extent that no one would have been alarmed by such a sign in a shop. Today, with decades of political correctness under our collective belts, it seems somewhat shocking for a shop owner to suggest he can decide whom he sells to. We've come a long way, and lost a lot.

and, I think maybe this gun shop owner isn't mad, he's disgusted with BHO; and in turn those that elected/re-elected him. Why? Because of Fast & Furious?
Because of the push for the UN Small Arms Treaty? Because of the Executive Order issued to cover Eric Holder? The shop owners business, he probably built it himself, without government help...... he's simply exercising his right to have an opinion. You have the right to not shop at his store. He has the right to post this sign. Ok, everybody calm down..... let's all pick up our toys and go home. :biggrinjester:

What you see as a childish rant, I see as a principled decision by a business owner who is painfully aware that if Obama succeeds in his goal of disarming America, this man will have no business. His sign, then, is an attempt to shock the fools who voted for Obama into awareness before it's too late.

In case you don't think Obama voters are fools, consider this. According to exit polls, 3% of them wanted Obamacare completely repealed and 26% wanted it partially repealed. That's more than 17 MILLION people who can't even recognize the cognitive dissonance of voting for someone who is never going to do what you want done.

This a hugely telling statement. It would also explain why the Republicans lost the election because their platform left the entire female gender, and much of the Hispanic community in the dust.

This would be an example of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should". It's in their best business interest to remain a-political. All money is green & spends the same whether you lean toward red or blue. Making a political statement risks alienating half of your clientel and won't guarantee an increase from those that do agree to offset.

Many people in this country have strong principals and what they believe in which cannot be purchased with the green color of money, I salute this person for believing in the Constitution over the color of money and political correctness that is being forced down out throats. :tiphat:

Unfortunatly many peoples thoughts and what they believe in can easily be bought and we have become a "me" society. Just maybe he wants to keep his profits below that magic $250k number that Obama and his supporters consider the "rich" who should pay more taxes to support those who choose not to work.

Maybe the gun store owner is mad...I don't know. Maybe his is exercising his rights? It definitely sounds like you have a lot of beef, which may or may not be the store owner's beef, with Obamo & Eric Holder (which may or may not be warranted).

My comment about the childish nature of the Gun Store owner's sign is just that. Your telling me that the store owner is going to turn away paying customers on the basis of different views? Really? I may be wrong and if I am that is ok, but I see this as a marketing campaign for his gun shop. The nature of his comment is filled with Hyperbole (exaggeration), which Jesus often used in the Bible to make a point. I see this as no different. I see the gun store owner's hyperbolic comments as a childish display to make a point.
