Did they check to see if the deer had "gang" tattoos?
Seriously, the saying when I was a kid is that the most dangerous animal in the woods is a "tame" buck. Sounds like this guy has spent time around humans. Deer are crazy about tobacco. It's no real surprise then that one with no fear of humans would aggressively go after some cigs.
