Olfactory Traces of A Crimson Fish - The Bushmaster

Post by Dragonfighter »

Red Herring... Something smells fishy. Something is really bothering me about this Newtown, CT incident and it isn't just the rhetoric and opportunism by the left to attempt and jerk our last line of defense from our hands.

Within hours of the first shot it was reported that two handguns were found by the gunman being a Sig and a Glock. As we watched the police reported they had found an AR-15 type rifle known as the Bushmaster in the vehicle owned by Lanza's mom, that he had driven to the school. The anti gun rhetoric starts almost immediately with the POTUS saying that "definitive action" would be taken. Police are confirming, or at least not "correcting" the account saying the vehicle was where the Bushmaster was found and we are shown that after dark video of some long gun coming from the trunk of the car.

Then they report spent .223 shells was found inside, could they have been in Lanza's pocket? That night, CNN says that there was police sources saying the Lanza had access to upwards of six weapons but there were two (handguns) used in the shooting and the Bushmaster was found in the car. That report was after 6 P.M. ET, some 8 1/2 hours after the shooting.

A couple of days later, NBC Special Reports says that Federal officials have confirmed that there were four handguns, and only four handguns were found inside the school but that the rifle was left in the car. Now this is 24-48 hours in.

Now, the medical examiner is saying that the "high powered" rifle was the only weapon used in the shooting and the CT State PD are echoing this. So I guess we are to believe that for more than a day the investigators did not know where all the weapons were found at what is quickly becoming the most infamous crime scene in our recent history.

Hold on to the tin foil hats, could it be that since the Bushmaster as THE weapon scenario better fits the anti-gun agenda so the "official" story redacts and restructures the information that is being released, manipulating the dialogue with disinformation? It has happened before (George Zimmerman anyone?) and I believe it is happening again. If not the Federal, State and Local agencies investigating this tragedy are, without a doubt, the most incompetent collection of officials to walk the earth...our current DOJ not withstanding.

If I am correct this is criminal, making the CBS manipulation of the Zimmerman 911 tapes a hiccup by comparison.

I find it difficult to believe that it is actually a "government plot", but it's also hard to imagine that the initial police reports could have gotten it totally wrong...it certainly deserves some explanation. :headscratch

This is the EXACT conversation circulating amongst my gun owning friends. The original news reports did not vary as the details of the event were being sorted: Two handguns used and a rifle or more in the vehicle. Rather, a coherent version of the story seemed to pivot several times, each time taking on a more favorable tone for those seeking an AWB. I was shocked on Monday to hear the ME was claiming the victims died of rifle inflicted wounds. Maybe I just need to adjust my tin foil hat...

If you have not watched the ME video, you cannot understand his level of lack of credibility. When asked what caliber the bushmaster was he refers the question to the police.
Picture this, the killer shoots himself. Most likely he has a sling on the AR. Its still attached to him... or at worst it is laying a few feet from him. Hundreds of .223 casings laying over the whole crime scene. And they report the rifle was in the car. Seems twisted. :headscratch

The only video I have watched from that location looked as if it were a shotgun that was removed from the trunk...but it had a pistol grip so its automatically (no pun) an "assault weapon" to the ignoramuses in the mass media. I think that is where the confusion stemmed from...but OTOH, nothing makes the media vultures more gleeful than a mass murder with a semi-auto rifle...they get a "thrill up their leg", to borrow a phrase, when they hear about one. And yes, I really think they are that vile; just look at Ed Schultz or Piers Morgan.

Problem from first few days is EVERY media outlet was reporting anonymous sources who were obviously not nearly as "close to the investigation" as the media hacks would have you believe. Far as I know we still haven't seen an official police report. Only official information coming from news conferences by various agencies, correct?

This is likely just an all-to-common colossal media screw up.

You can take off your tinfoil hat now.

I actually reached that conclusion initially then went back through. When you have an outlet like CNN saying, "Federal officials have now confirmed that there were four hand guns used, NOT two as initially reported" and "the rifle was left in the car" two days after the shooting where there has been plenty of time for the initial dust to settle.

Then you have the ME come out and said the rifle was used exclusively making statements like (paraphrasing) "I have completed a few (I think he said 3)preliminaries and every one of the children were shot 3-11 times at close range with the high powered Bushmaster rifle." Then as has already been mentioned, when asked about the caliber, he refers the question to police. So you have an ME who is supposed to be a fact finder concluding that all of the kids were shot with a particula rifle after a few preliminaries were done and not saying something to the effect of, "We found "X" number of rounds that were .223 caliber, consistent with an AR-15 type rifle found at the scene." But he concluded THAT rifle was used on ALL of the children.

Which begs another question. If all were shot at least three times up to eleven times we are talking a minimum of 81 rounds up to more than a hundred, not counting misses. I realize he had at least three mintues to shoot, reload and continue before the first PD arrived but that is a lot of rounds. Now if as CNN reported that he indeed had the four handguns as was "confirmed" by the federal officials, then standard mags could of held up to 60 rds before reload. If the rifle was used exclusively then we are talking 5 reloads to get the minimum number with twenty round mags and three reloads if he had 30 rd mags. But no one is coming out and saying they found "hundreds" or even "dozens" of expended .223 rds and no one has mentioned the large capacity mags (or "clips" if you are a media hound).

Too much change, too inconsistent with post scramble reports and too convenient for the AWB crowd. My tin foil is staying where it is for the time being...thank you very much.

you are correct
I even saw a picture of the "car" and it showed the bushmaster on the back seat.
I was wondering how it made it inside the school and then magically got back in the car afterwards.
then I chucked it up to a file photo and the car was not the real one.

with the wild numbers thrown out by media, we may never really know

I had thought he murdered the children with the two pistols, and had done some figuring with 16 round magazines and the number of shots the state police said had been fired...he would have had to have at least one spare magazine for each pistol.
but then we are told the murderer shot out the door glass, which answered how he was able to gain entry so easy. and explains the 223 rounds, I guess.
9mm rounds could take out a glass door to, so we may never know
i am sure politicize is the driver for what we are told ;-)

well one thing being reported by media is witness statements saying he was going around poking the kids with the rifle making sure they were dead -- this is media reports saying this came from witness's but havent actually seen the witness's say this themselves (if there were any witness') on the media channels -- now if the rifle was in the car how in the hell was he poking them with it?

im having the same discussion on several sites but i sort of hate it cause some are taking it as no feelings for the kids (the way they are making it out cause im standing up for gun rights when they are against them) and making it like i dont care about them and so on -- almost makes me feel guilty but im still standing up against them
