Surprise surprise. Hypocrisy from Biden

Post by mojo84 »

They are their own worst enemy if the general population would pay attention and hold them accountable. Not only talking about liberals and anti-gun zealots. Politicians in general must be held accountable.

Yes. But it's a GUN. I by no means think they are only after mean old "assault" weapons.

THAT is what I keep getting at...its okay for the ELITES to have their uber-expensive shotguns and European double-rifles for the safari, etc. Just not for us mere peasants and knuckle-draggers to have weapons to keep from being tyrannized, whatever the source of the tyranny, be it from regular criminals or a government of criminals. Let's say that they did make it where we could only have shotguns and bolt action rifles...pretty soon, I'd bet they'd be complaining about us poaching the King's deer, too.

This is the poisoned cup Obummer has handed Biden.

There is NO politically palatable outcome. No matter what Joe comes up with, it is going to enrage a significant portion of the electorate. Very courageous! Remember, to a politician, "controversial" means it will cost you votes. "Courageous" means it will cost you the election.

The lobbying, the pressures on other officials, particularly Congressmen, is going to make going over the cliff look like a good idea.

The only thing he could have done better is to hand it to Hillary. She is far too smart to have anything to do with it, directly anyway.

That's what Vice Presidents are for! You appoint them to work it out. They get the blame. IF something happens you look Presidential and get the credit. If it turns into a total fiasco, well, you look Presidential and aren't blamed.

The longer I observe these things, the more I realize that everything that happens can be explained in terms of "credit" and "blame."

Remember the Kennedy Space program. It was assigned to Vice President Johnson, who got it done. The program is remembered as one of Kennedy's great achievements. The space center is named for Johnson. If it had been a huge fiasco, Johnson was the designated loser.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
