This is why I have a hard time seeing any sweeping gun legislation being passed. Actually, I doubt we will see anything passed.

If anyone here is not a member, it is the best time to be a member in NRA. Best investment to protect our rights.

Given that we're now saddled with another 4 years under BHO, I wouldn't take anything for granted these days. I doubt if, 2 months ago, very many of us would have thought this is where we'd be. Remember, there's no accounting for the general population out there.

In case you have not noticed, it is not simply "assault weapons" the orcs are going after. You will be lucky if they leave you with a rusty old pellet rifle.Oldgringo wrote:I really, really hope you are right and....I have nary an assault weapon.jmra wrote:This is why I have a hard time seeing any sweeping gun legislation being passed. You don't have any pistols with a magazine capacity over 10 rounds?Oldgringo wrote:I really, really hope you are right and....I have nary an assault weapon.jmra wrote:This is why I have a hard time seeing any sweeping gun legislation being passed. Actually, I doubt we will see anything passed.

Obama does not care about the will of the people, he has his own agenda and intends to plow forward. He would move into full confiscation mode if he could. Our only hope is to put a lot pressure on our Congressmen and Senators to uphold our rights. Obama would be our Stalin if he were to have his way.TexasCajun wrote:Given that we're now saddled with another 4 years under BHO, I wouldn't take anything for granted these days.

While you are at it, also join the SAF. They have done a wonderful job in fighting for our rights.

The only polling firms worth anything, in my personal opinion, are Gallup and Rasmussen. They have asked the American public, though their samples, what they think about gun control, guns, etc. A majority of Americans, not just Republicans or conservatives, are against new gun control laws. They are pro-firearms. They want EXISTING laws to be ENFORCED.
The rest of what you hear about clamor to ban "assault weapons" or register guns or whatever else is Alinsky-ist loud noise generated by a small, vocal group with a megaphone called the mass media. Richard Nixon once asked the "silent majority" to support him...well, we need the "silent majority" evidenced in those polls to let their Congress-critters know that they don't want any more laws. If we can get a little confidence and backbone into these politicians, this current mess will get shut down the way it aught to be.
