Des Moines Register Advocates Violence Against NRA Members

"I would tie Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control," he wrote. Is that a threatening James Byrd reference? "And if that didn’t work, I’d adopt radical measures," he continued.

It is absolutely imperative that our own rhetoric does not swerve into this territory.

They have a call-back system in their customer service department. Jam it.

I find it interesting that when I tried to go from the link published on this thread (Fox News) to the original article on the Des Moines Register, I hit their paywall. A message popped up saying "Thank you for enjoying your complimentary access. Become a subscriber to enjoy these benefits." I usually get this on the New York Times or Wall Street Journal websites when I've read too many articles within a given time period. However, I've never read a Des Moines Register article (that I can recall).

Thanks Steve. After reading the actual article, it's really no more thought out or any more articulate than the comments section after other online articles. Just noise, really.

When liberals feel they have power, their fascist tendencies come forward. This is the ultimate truth of Marxism and its various socialist derivatives.

Pressing zero repeatedly will put you in the loop to talk to somebody. For some reason after waiting for 30-40 minutes to get talk to someone I get disconnected. So then I have to call back and wait again.

Gees I hope I am not clogging up their phone lines.

We would be forced to ban Chevy Pickup trucks.

OTH, I doubt the 'retired' columnist is going to change any minds with his rant.

May not change any minds, but it is a terroristic threat. Whoops never mind the big O's DHS would never buy it, he's a journalistic lib so it can't qualify only us on the other side of the gun argument are capable of that.

This is typical of the political left...whenever their folks put out what amount to DEATH THREATS, then get called on it...its suddenly just humorous and chiding...and they censor the Internet to make sure that's the "official line"...read the Wikipedia article for yourself...yes, though we all know that Wikipedia isn't an "official source", it certainly gets treated that way, especially by young people.

I've been trying to call them on the outside Iowa number. All it does is ring "circuit busy". I hope that is a lot of other people with the same message that I have getting through. :evil2:
