Cell Phone Ban

Post by Rrash »

I had to put it this way to an anti 2A friend of mine:

If the government were to ban all cell phones, requiring us to turn all mobile phones we use and carry every day because too many people drive and text, how many un-confiscated phones would remain? How hard would it be for someone to carry an illegal phone in their pocket (assuming a cellular networks were still operational)? How hard would it be to acquire an illegal phone? I then asked him how well prohibition worked.

He had no response, other than to say that phones aren't the same thing as a gun. At least we can agree on that issue.

Exactly! You have no right to a cell phone, but you DO have a right to keep and bear arms.

:iagree: Even Colin Goddard could attest that cell phones do not "protect" you ...
