Handgun magazines - they're hard to find now!

Post by johncanfield »

I just backordered some SR40 15 round magazines from Brownells (expected early Feb) and I'm looking for some 12 round M&P9c magazines and can't find those. One place expected a minimum of 90 days backorder. Things are going crazy for any magazine over 10 rounds :totap: .

Yup. I'm having a hard time finding Glock 17/19 magazines. Those I just might have to wait out unfortunately. At least I'm well stocked in AR mags.

I ordered mags directly from Ruger for SR9c and SR40c. I ordered them the week before Christmas and they were listed in-stock. It took Ruger until Jan 1st to even start processing my order. Didn't get them until last week. I'm sure any resellers are even further backlogged.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

I wanted to get two magazines for my Taurus 709 and they are nowhere to be found... a few listed on eBay, check this one going for $61 at the moment:

Taurus 709 magazine on eBay

That's outrageous  those were going for $32 a month ago.

I did not foresee this mess coming, but I was stocking up on mags over the summer and early fall. I should be okay until all this blows over. Hopefully, nothing too sickening will get passed.

yeah... I'm well stocked on Glock mags, but if a registration scheme is implemented (a la NFA $200 tax per item) I'll be broke!

I, for once, was ahead of the rush. I picked up 20 windowed Pmags from Brownells the Sunday after Newtown and 5 Glock 17 mags from GT Distributors a few days later.

It doesn't make for for the GE M134 that I passed up for $10K in the early 1980s, but I'll take the small victories where I can get them. :woohoo

Did the same last week for some 92fs mags and they shipped last night. Couldn't find them anywhere else in stock and for 21 bucks a piece(free shipping) hard to beat that.

It's kinda funny, I used to look at my inventory and think to myself...you gotta quit buying so much stuff. Now, I look like a genius.
