Never really wanted an AR. I carried an M-16 in the military. I bought a sks and an Ak-47 a few years ago because I liked the bigger round and "Red Dawn factor" I guess.
Now,...I really want an AR. Mostly because some, some in the Goverment, are trying to tell me I can't have one. I know it's probably the worst time to buy one if you can find one, but there is a chance, small chance, you won't be able to buy one in a month or so. A friend has one and wants to sell. Going to shoot it and check it out next weekend. All I know at this point is that it's a Bushmaster and he has 6 mags, a 90 round drum, and a 1000 rounds to go with it. Price is steep but a lot cheaper than what I've seen. Better to have and not need than need and not have. ever?

I took my best friends shooting with me. The Wife had never been with me, and noy shot anything in last 15+ years. She shot CDub's AR, and is now after me to find her an AR. And a 1911 .22

Started building one yesterday - bought a Stripped lower (New Frontier Armory) for $89 Friday night from my FFL. Found a complete upper kit in stock from a builder locally. Kit includes pre-assembled upper and everything else you need except the stripped lower.
Total cost - just under $700 including tax. The only thing I have to do is assemble the lower and slap on the upper. Not sure why people are paying $2000 for an AR.

My friend says he has about $2000 in it including ammo. Offering it to me for $2200 with owner finance/no interest. We'll see what it looks like and what after market stuff he put on it.

I've sold 6 ARs and 4 complete lowersmthe past month. But I have 6 more lowers on order and got 3 BCM uppers coming in Tuesday so ill be good again. If people want to pay crazy prices so be it. But that must a very nice Bushmaster bc the ammo and mags ain't worth that much

Disagree - I wouldn't drop near that much for a Bushmaster. I'd hold off for prices to come down and get a better quality gun, or offer him less.
