A new M&P .22 joins our family

Post by johncanfield »

Just returned home with our latest firearm purchase - an M&P .22. I had no idea this was made for S&W by Walther. Haven't shot it as yet but the action seems very smooth and the ergonomics are almost exactly like my M&P 9c - excellent. I wanted a .22 handgun for those evening visits by skunks, possums, raccoons, etc.

I was looking for a Browning Buck Mark but I have this very soft spot for M&Ps so I couldn't resist. :cheers2:

The gun store has plenty of target ammo for handguns and the salesman said so far, no problems getting it. What they don't have is .223/5.56/.308/AK ammo as you might expect. Also no magazines for my M&P9c. There was a guy next to me at the counter and he said he just came from the San Antonio Acadamy and Boerne/Kerrville Wally-Worlds and they are all cleaned out of ammo.

I have this very same pistol and have really enjoyed it. The federal plated rounds seem to work well in it too which is nice. The only thing I don't like is how it breaks down which is just different than I'm used to and not really a problem.
