I added an xr9-s Onyx to my carry rotation 3-4 months ago. I've put around 300 rounds through it without any issues. You just need to run quality ammo with a good crimp. I prefer American eagle 124 g fmj for practice and 124g gold dots for carry.
For its size it's a pleasure to shoot. I'm mainly comparing this to the Rohrbaugh r9s which is easy to carry but not fun after a few mags through it.
