Renewal question regarding photo

Post by pbwalker »

My drivers license photo is over 10 years old, and my instructor told me that DPS won't use the ones on file if they are that old...that I have to submit a new photo. Is this indeed the case? The checklist says they will try to use my existing passport photo...should I just go ahead and include some new pics? Like a fool, I kept putting off the renewal class and my license expires tomorrow. I took the class yesterday and am mailing the documents tomorrow (if no pics are needed) or Monday (if pics are needed). :banghead: :banghead:

No clue. For my renewal last year, they decided to re-use my previous CHL photo instead of my more recent DL photo.

Just curious; will fingerprints need to be scanned next CHL renewal ? My prints were inked, but I work a job in healthcare where my prints were scanned by DPS before I was hired.

If the ink prints were good, you don't need fresh prints for renewals anymore.

Same here, but I called them out on it and they re-manufactured mine with a recent DL photo update (that I had requested on my checklist and they ignored that too). :banghead:
