I signed up for it and immediately got an email telling me that ammo availability in my area was critical. (No surprise there.) If I got one that ammo availability was improving, I'd probably drop by Walmart or Academy as soon as possible, expecting to find some.

I agree with AEA, looks like a data mining enterprise. And/or just a way to promote and sell their books. I signed up and opted out with the first e-mail. It didn't appear to be anything of value to me. Your mileage may vary...

This is the poster child for the throw-away email account (hotmail) as a test to see if the signal to noise ratio is decent....
I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.
