As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

The number from abortion is the CDC. The number is 47%, I was three off.

I wasn't challenging you. I'm shocked it's anywhere near that high.
However, reading the first batch of comments at the link, there does seem to be a problem with the calculation.
According to the most recent CDC abortion data reported in 2008 from 28 areas in different states in the country, 47 percent of pregnancies by African-American women are terminated — 472 abortions per 1,000 live births.
472 abortions + 1000 live births = 1472 pregnancies.
472 abortions / 1472 pregnancies = 32% of pregnancies result in abortions.

(Note that 472 abortions / 1000 live births = 47.2% of live births result in abortions -- an impossibility, since a successful abortion cannot result in a live birth.)

Still, even if they messed up the accounting....32% of a people group disappearing in abortion. That is devastating!

I'll also point out the data is quite old -- 2008 -- and then they equivocate it anyway since ...
That data also may be skewed because there is no federal mandate requiring health-care agencies to submit abortion data to the government, and almost half of all agencies that did submit data to the CDC did not include information about race or ethnicity.
So it would seem that the numbers that are available point to a very high ratio, but also may be quite inaccurate.

A shocking statistic nonetheless.
I had not thought about the stats math really. Just took it for what it was worth. Still 32% of a people group gone every year. That is devastating!

I don't have the numbers handy but there are many more disproportionalte abortion statistics when looking at income levels as well as races. If I remember I will look for them.

The biggest statistic is that 100% of babies that enter abortion mills do not survive.

Over 50% of the humans entering abortion mills do not survive. All of the babies and some of the mothers die.

That's not entirely true. There are abortion survivors. However, I will grant that their numbers are statistically insignificant.

I thought of that but as you state they are rare.

Bring it. We are not going to wind up being a Chicago or NYC.
