Inventory to lose or get or trade in a 4 year gun freeze, and or ban ?
What are the essentials ? What could/should I trade for, what could stand to lose?
These are for personal defense, as I am not yet a hunter.

I recommend not publishing a voluntary registry of your guns (just my tin foil hat wearing suggestion). I've almost posted something similar several times... you might consider asking it more hypothetically...
For instance, if somebody had some extra run of the mill revolvers or even a decent 1911 they're not married to, they might consider trading for something that could get banned if they think the ban has legs - knowing the revolvers and 1911 aren't being threatened tight now.
Some have extra guns that are candidates for banning... they fall into two camps: those who held on to them because this time it feels real and forever is a long time OR those who a put the non-essentials on the market and turn them into cash or other assets like an investment.
