Help identify some guns

Help identify some guns
My father-in-law passed away in December. He had a small collection of guns that he accumulated over the years. Included in his collection are two H&R 922 revolvers. Does anyone know of a place where I can lookup the serial numbers to determine the age of these guns? One serial number is R66196. The other is either I84602 or 184602. He had several small caliber guns; a Jennings J-22, 2 Raven 25 Auto pistols, a Beretta 3032 Tomcat and a S&W 32 Long Barrel OTO.

One serial number is R66196.---- 1955
The other is either I84602 or 184602----- most likely an I which is 1948 as I did not see any H&R's that started with a number
The Jennings and Raven are basically throw away guns, the original Saturday night specials that have major reliability issues, I have a Raven that I am waiting for a gun buy back to happen so I can get $100 for a $25.00 gun....

Thanks. He showed me one of the Ravens and it clearly said Colt Arms on the side. Did Colt resell them? Did Colt make a Raven? These are NIB autos.

Re: Help identify some guns
I am not aware of Colt making a "Raven" although they could have, typically Ravens were made by Phoenix Arms. You peaked my curiosity so I spent some time with my friend Google and could not find anything on Colt Raven. Hopefully a Colt expert will chime in...

I've asked my SIL to physically examine the gun. We'll see what she says.Salty1 wrote:I am not aware of Colt making a "Raven" although they could have, typically Ravens were made by Phoenix Arms.
