My three girls have had their own .22s since the age of 4. I took them out earlier today. My oldest shot a little, but lost interest. My 4 year old shot some .22 before she took a snooze. My 9 y/o wanted to shoot all day. She shot everything I put in front of her; including a BP 1860 Army, an AK47, and even a 1911, among several others. She wants to shoot competitively now. She is really getting to be a good shot...her sisters, not so much. I'm thinking of getting her a nice precision .22 now.

What transition? I never noticed a transition either.

Maybe it's all physc on my part but I swear I can hear a distinct difference in the crack / bang!

I'll pay attention the next time I shoot both .223 and 5.56.
