Freedom munitions bullets - range day

Post by Wodathunkit »

I was lucky enough to find some 9mm on line a few weeks ago. I ordered a thousand rounds for $237 after tax and shipping. I'd never heard of them before my panic searching of ammo.

My bullets came in last week and I made it to the range yesterday. I was expecting them to be loose bagged and was pleasantly surprised to see 20 boxes of 50 rds inside the case. I feed them through a Glock 26, Glock 19, a beretta, an XD, and a diamondback (those types are irrelevant since they weren't Glocks :biggrinjester: )
Anyways, no feed issues or FTF's. Each load seemed consistent to the previous. I actually preferred them to some Lellier & Bellot I found at the local Academy.

I'm going to purchase again if they ever have any. According to their site they may offer discounts if you return your brass.

Hope this is helpful

They have a store here in town. Hwy 290 at Jones near the Harbour Freight store. In store is about same as online once you factor in the shipping. They answer the phone every now and then. I can't say how long 9mm will lastbbut they tell me .45 usually makes it a couple days on the floor.

My main problem is they now want the same price or more for reman ammo as you can get new ammo for. Kind of a judgement call, it is good ammo either way.

I don't buy from anyone else any more unless they are out. Their reman is so clean looking I never buy new, either. Fine stuff!

I was there yesterday... they were pretty much out of everything, except 38 spl, 357 mag and are expecting a shipment Tuesday... in order to serve as many customers are possible, they have a 500 rd limit on 9mm, 40 S&W and 45 (iirc) per day.

I have bought from them several time and am a very satisfied customer. Just wish like all the others, they would get some stock available....

Just got 1,000 in .45 at the local store. Pricing breaks down to just about $8 more than wallyworld was getting for UMC bulk 250box when you look at the paper. Not bad all things considered and they had plenty when I left.

The 9mm and 5.56 M-855 62gr. was running out with the quickness though.

Just got my order of 500 9mm rounds and I hear them rattling in the package. Apparently I didn't get the boxes of 50 like I had hoped, but we'll see when I get home.

You probably did, but they are loose in the 50 ct. boxes. I thought the same thing when I got my box.

Did you order new, remanufactured or blasters? New come in a box, with plastic holder... the others do not...

I ordered some .308/7.62 NATO reman for $0.80 / round on Thursday, it was shipped and expect it next Thursday. I was surprised the tracking number was showing it shipped from Idaho and not Texas.

Planning a trip to a friends property in 2 weeks so will be trying this stuff out for the first time then, but I might have to hit a local range before then just to make sure I can get on paper at 100 yards

Manufacturing is at their facility in Idaho... the Houston, TX location is only a retail store.

I was there Friday morning to pick some 9mm... they have now a 250 round limit per customer/per day. Customers were lined outside of the store (20-30 people by 10:30 AM)... they were only letting a few people in at a time. Sad it has come to this, but I appreciate what they are trying to do, serving as many customers as possible. Although they were running low on everything -except 38 spl- they had everything (9, 40, 45, 380, 223, 308).

I like that company. I started with their reman 9mm and was happy with it. I since tried the other reman pistol ammo, 40 and 45 and are happy with them. Never tried their rifle ammo though.
