So, decided to get this started today and got the online application submitted.
The last time I renewed my CHL I did the L3 Fingerprints, do I need to schedule another fingerprint scan for this? Or will they use the last ones I submitted?
And about the CHL-90, I checked online and it said they were reworking it... Is there someplace I can get one to fill out?
Starting the path, it's hazy ahead...

Call DPS on Tuesday. (512) 424-7293PBratton wrote:And about the CHL-90, I checked online and it said they were reworking it... Is there someplace I can get one to fill out?
You can submit a request online but I had better luck calling them. No pun intended.

Yes, you do have to be fingerprinted again. We just had a guy come in, had to be printed twice at the same appointment. Once for the CHL app, and once for the instructor app.
Yes, they go to the same place. No, it doesn't make any sense.

Depends. I did not have to submit a new set of finger prints on my renewal last year with Crossfire. I did mine online and they said another set was not needed.

And I am sure you read the other posts stating you must be a TCLEOSE or NRA pistol instructor prior to going the CHL instructor course.

Thanks guys.
I'll see if they wish to speak with me on Tuesday, or Wednesday...
And yes, Keith, I'm already an NRA Pistol Instructor.

I'm sorry. I didn't notice this was in the Instructor's Corner. I was speaking about just the regular CHL.C-dub wrote:Depends. I did not have to submit a new set of finger prints on my renewal last year with Crossfire. I did mine online and they said another set was not needed.
