I'm living in Murray. Anything you can share as to where to go for shooting, ammo, events.... Please share.

The people here are just as friendly as West Texans where I grew up. I think I'm going to love this place as my second best state.

Well you are a little farther east and south than I used to go. I usually hung around Paducah or Eddyville (Land Between the Lakes). I liked Paducah Shooters Supply and Armory GUn Shop in Princeton. And they have a Gander Mountain in Paducah as well.

As far as eating, you HAVE to go north to Grand Rivers on the north end of Land Between the Lakes and eat at Patti's 1880's resturant http://www.pattis-settlement.com/pattis_menu.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. They have a 2" think pork chop that is awesome, homemade bread baked in clay flower pots and pie's that are unbelievable. It is a beautiful area up there as well and if you are into antiques and such there are some neat shops in Grand Rivers. The returants at Kenlake Lodge http://www.genuinekentucky.com/aurora-l ... ake-lodge/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and at Barkley Lake Lodge http://www.genuinekentucky.com/lake-bar ... ge-dining/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; are nice as well and have beautiful views of the lake. These make great spots for special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc.)

Hope you enjoy your time up there. If you like hunting and fishing, you will find it all right there close!

Enjoy the area and

Thanks again for all the input and suggestions. Land between the lakes looks like it's going to be a blast for hunting and fishing. I'm going to try to go to Puduca next week once I get all the boxs unpacked. Other than that the LGS are all pretty nice guys with no drama like I'm used to in DFW. And their prices are reasonable. Once I get Internet hooked up I'll shoot back a report about the 94. One thing they have here that I'm not used to is basements. Damn... Don't need a gym membership with all the walking up and down I'll be doing. Is nice to have the extra space. Take care care Texans!
