rock island in dfw?

Hey folks.

I've been wanting to get my hands on a compact 1911...the rock island tacticals look nice, and the price is right. Does anyone know where I can get one in the dfw area (hopefully fort worth side)? Does anyone have any experience with these? Specifically the 9mm?

Any other suggestions would be helpful.

I have a full size RIA 1911 in 45 and it functions flawlessly. If you are willing to drive to Canton on the corner of 64 and 19 is a gun shop that has what you are looking for for around 450ish if I remember correctly.

I had a compact but in 45ACP. Loved it! Always went bang with any ammo brand including reloads. I gave it to my father who wanted something for personal protection other than his shotgun but he couldn't afford one on his fixed income. I think I'm going to get another one sooner or later. I will probably go for the 9mm just to consolidate my calibers. You can't go wrong with an RIA.
