Range day

Post by srothstein »

As rarely as I plan in advance to go shooting, the current ammo situation requires this. So, I am planning on a range day on Saturday, April 27, at Lone Star Range in Lockhart. I am planning on a morning trip, getting there around 9. If anyone in the Austin or San Antonio area wants to join me, feel free to come buy.

The reason for this trip, and where it might get interesting, is that I have invited my classmates to come out (and the professor urged them to go). Some of them have been shooting before, and some have not. One is a retired officer while others are traditional students - straight from high school to college and then grad school. These students may have a larger say in policy in the future since they are all working on doctorates in criminal justice. I also told the professor to feel free to invite other doctoral classes if anyone is interested. we do have some international students (Bosnian, Korean, and Thai that I know of for sure), so it might get interesting.

Yes, we will have a safety briefing before we go to the range and again before we start shooting.
