I am so happy for this article, because now I finally understand how those awful "assault" weapons work.

It's really sad that my 11 year old knows more about firearms and how they function than an elected official.

She forgot to mention that it should not be used while in the shower or bath tub because you might shock yourself.
What do we think the life expectancy of her political career is?

I think it's funny, but I wonder if it's appropriate for a Congressperson to make fun of a colleague. Yes, she deserves it, but still. The approach might turn a lot of people off.

Yes. Yes, it is.baldeagle wrote:I think it's funny, but I wonder if it's appropriate for a Congressperson to make fun of a colleague.
Eh, maybe. It could just as easily get people people talking about how our politicians are making and passing laws concerning things which they know nothing about.baldeagle wrote:The approach might turn a lot of people off.

Absolutely she deserves it. This is the same woman who told an elderly constituent who was pleading with her to not support the magazine limit legislation that he'd probably be dead anyway, and that he didn't need a high capacity magazine because the Denver PD response time is three minutes............when seconds count.baldeagle wrote:I think it's funny, but I wonder if it's appropriate for a Congressperson to make fun of a colleague. She's not only stupid, she is deliberately stupid, which makes her evil.

We're in a rhetorical war for our rights and our lives with enemies who, giving no quarter to us, deserve no quarter from us. We need to be in it to win it. Being nice to our enemies is like being polite to a mugger. Their lies, their stupidity, and their evil intent need to be challenged, highlighted, and ridiculed.baldeagle wrote:I think it's funny, but I wonder if it's appropriate for a Congressperson to make fun of a colleague. Absolutely.
