Good question! Inquiring 'gun buyers' want to know.

I think the original poster is 16 days off. And what is a 44 long colt?

It was a 45 long colt, but is smaller due to the sequester. :smilelol5:

Thanks
The .45 Colt cartridge is a handgun cartridge dating to 1872. It began as a black powder revolver round developed for the Colt Single Action Army revolver, but is offered as a magnum level handgun hunting round in modern usage. This cartridge was adopted by the U.S. Army in 1873 and served as the official US military handgun cartridge for 19 years. It is also colloquially referred to as .45 Long Colt or .45LC to differentiate it from the shorter .45ACP, the newer and more common .45-caliber pistol cartridge produced by Colt.

I was thinking this was important. Sorry if I missed something.

I think what you missed, is the ad says "44 Long colt" and Xring was not asking about the 45 LC... which is what you have now linked to, and then posted about. :thumbs2:

Not sure about his prices, the model of the 25-06 rifle and scope were not very detailed
Depending on those details it could be well worth a grand!
We could e-mail him but that only helps one potential buyer.
