Company Halts Sale of Pressure Cookers in Mass. Stores

Wow I am lucky I bought mine last weekend before they get banned. Mine is the high capacity 16qt model, with pressure gauge, pressure indicator/lid lock and pressure relief valve(this makes it California compliant)

As soon as I heard they were being pulled off the shelves, I immediately purchased fifty of them. I had to hit every Walmart and Macy's in the DFW metroplex but I got them all. I'm going to list them on pressure cooker broker for ten times what I paid for them.

I hear they are going to ban private sales. You would have to go thru a FPCL (Federal Pressure Cooker License) and pass NICS (National Instant Chef Background Check System).

They would first have to prove I bought them with the intentions of selling them. I actually purchased them for personal use but have since changed my mind. I am pretty sure I am grand fathered in.

I have put a call in to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Personally, I don't know what, besides KFC, is cooked in a pressure cooker. I just wanted to have more of them than everyone else. if we think about it all. Why would anyone actually NEED a pressure cooker?!

No doubt. That right there could be trouble. That is why I stuck with the 16qt models. Less paperwork and I stay off the "radar".

KFC uses "Full Auto Pressure Fryers", new production hasn't been legal for civilian purchase since the Sanders Amendment to the Fryer Owners Protection Act of 1986.

Funny when you think of it. Pressure cookers were common items until last week. I actually contacted 2 people carrying them yesterday. I rolled up, they smiled and automatically explained about a queso cook off. I never got out of my car as they were not T's... we joked how an incident makes you look at things differently.

I have a vintage 70's model that has never been used. Yep, that is a pristine model in the original box with matching serial numbers. They just don't make'm like this anymore. Kept in a climate controlled cabinet with desiccant (rice). What am I bid?
