Saxet gun show - today Austin

Post by texanjoker »

Wow.. I haven't been to one since before the Sandy Hook incident. They were already over priced, but seriously? There was on guy trying to sale a brick of 22 for $130! There were a few black rifles here and there for 800-900 so some dealers are getting back to normal. Others were still way out of the ball park with their prices. Plenty of ar mags for $20.

Then there was the guy that pulled out a concealed Glock from his waist band to check out a holster at a table. The gun should have had a zip lock on it to show it was safe and I couldn't see one. I almost said something, but didn't as I had my son with me. If it was loaded, and it appeared to be due to there being a mag in it, that is how accidents happen.

They had an interesting sign at the entrance saying the place was posted 30.06, but then I didn't see an actual 30.06 sign. I didn't look hard, but that sign was interesting.

If it was a Glock it could have been his duty gun. Also a lot of off duty Glocks here in GTdist's backyard.

I was there too. White box of Winchester 9mm was $50, as was blaser brass. Box of 100 was $129. I know it is a business for them but sure seems hypocritical to be a gun advocate and rip of a gun advocate!

He probably wasn't a LEO, just someone ignoring, I'm assuming, a 30.06 sign on city owned property.

However, my BIL looks nothing like a "LEO" and yet he get's asked if he's DEA every now and then. "rlol"
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
