Colt 1911 Saves the Day

Post by doc540 »

well, kinda

Shooting our monthly 50yd silhouette match this morning with my S&W 629 when I got a squib.

Since it was the iron sight class, I quickly loaded the CCO and dropped the last three targets.
(don't ask me to do that again)

Glad I had it handy as a backup.

Ended up finishing 2nd in both irons and optics

Now, about that squib... what happened?
Thanks, but I'm far from the best here. We have some real bullseye shooters, and they can flat shoot.

Squib happened because I somehow interfered with the Dillon 550B process.

Could've been messing with the primers or something.

Just in case I carry a small, brass hammer and an aluminum rod in my range bag. Only takes a minute to clear one, but I didn't have but a minute to shoot all five shots.
