Hello, does anyone have experience with aero precision and know if their lowers are good quality?

Yeah they're decent and make lowers for some other big names in industry.

Correct. A LOT of lowers are made by Aero and then stamped with the other company's name. I'm not at all keen on what they did during this panic, but they had every right to establish whatever business model they felt was best for them.gigag04 wrote:Yeah they're decent and make lowers for some other big names in industry.
So, you're pretty mcuh getting the most "standardized" lower you can (although you'll find some polymer lowers are actually more "mil-spec" than aluminum ones, due to variances aluminum will have as it heats and cools).

They are also a bit on the high side for a forged lower. I just picked up a billet lower for $20 more than Aero is asking for their forged lower.

Thumbs up for aero.
Re: Is Aero Precision a good lower receiver?
I knew I had seen the areo x15 lower advertised for much less money than on the aero precision web site:

If you are not particular about the roll mark, surplus has other options available.

I did order a blemished one after reading reveries about them still being great.

Pretty much all lowers are the same
Re: Is Aero Precision a good lower receiver?
Is $170 is a decent price for stripped lowers these days?

PSA has stripped lowers for 119 and blems for 99. They sell out quick but seem to resupply fairly quickly.

I agree. Seems like 120.00 is the good normal price for a forged lower. I got one for this price a few weeks ago from delton.

I have a feeling give it a couple months and they'll be below $100. I got my 6 recently for $90 from a backorder
