New Black Gun, .22lr

Post by chuckybrown »

I wanted another "black gun" that was different. I wanted a .22lr. I looked at he Mossberg (junk) & Colt (nice, but too many rails, etc) I really liked the HK MP5 A5, currently distributed under the Walther name by Umarex. I wanted something that was more compact than not, and with the collapsible stock, this worked. I put a Walther red dot on it as well.

It shoots like a champ.

Next up, I want to look into setting up a trust, obtaining an SBR, cut off that silly fake suppressor, then get a real suppressor for it. Then it will be the perfect backpack or on the truck seat take along rifle.

what is the deal with fake supressors coming with guns recently? that can is laughable large for a 22 anyway.

I just got mine for my 308. the guy at the range next to me asked me if that was real after I fired it.i proceded to remove it and then fire it again. I asked him if he still thought it was fake. he went to back minding his own business. hehe

my 22 can should be coming next month cant wait to try it.

The fake suppressor is actually a barrel shroud.....it covers up about 8" of the barrel...of which the barrel length makes it legal. Make sense? The fake suppressor actually threads at the far end of the barrel, not the other way around....which you would expect.

But, I'm planning on changing all of that......trust, SBR, can.....

"Laughable" you say? Ever heard a .22 with a suppressor? NOT laughable.....amazeable........

My son and I were looking at one of those at the gun show. Probably will get one. The HK MP5 was the funnest gun I ever got to shoot at work and why not have a fake one in 22 to plink with?

How dare you? The esteemed Carolyn McCarthy would be so offended! :biggrinjester:
