Epic Jarhead 1911 Dude

Post by doc540 »

met this retired jarhead at the range today

saw his WWII-design shoulder rig and walked over to check it out

it was an exact replica

IN IT was an original, unrestored, 80%, 1943 Remington Rand 1911

and he was shooting it :thewave

my hero :txflag:

He corrected me last night.

He carries a '43 and the holstered gun is a '44.

He must be a lefty...reverse M7 shoulder holster. Never seen one. I am an avid WWI and WWII collector and have an M5 shoulder holster dated 1943. My 1911A1 Remington Rand is 1944. Nice rig he's got there.
