30.05 and CHL?

if he enters or remains on or in property, including an aircraft or other
vehicle, of another without effective consent or he enters or remains in
a building of another without effective consent and he:
(1) had notice that the entry was forbidden; or
(2) received notice to depart but failed to do so....

(f) It is a defense to prosecution under this section that:
(1) the basis on which entry on the property or land or in the
building was forbidden is that entry with a handgun was forbidden; and
(2) the person was carrying a concealed handgun and a license
issued under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code, to carry
a concealed handgun of the same category the person was carrying.

The verbiage of 30.05 says it does not apply to you. A CHL holder is specifically exempt IF the reason they are forbidden is due to a concealed handgun.

This is the BNRR headquarters in Fort Worth. I was there for a service call. And, being the true rebel that I am, you KNOW what government ID I presented to them. They didn't know what to think about that, as apparently, they had not seen one before!

This is an interesting example. I would only point out that BNRR has their own police department. If they were to discover you carrying on their premesis they could in fact arrest you.

Since the verbage of 30.05 states that it is a "defense to prosecution" that you had your CHL you may very well still take the ride so to speak.

I work there! I agree that it does not seem like a legal sign but have decided I am not going to test it!! LOL I think this week I will ask one of the Special Agents what they think of it.

The Official company title for a Railroad Police Officer is Special Agent...not sure where it comes from but am sure it is somewhere in railroad history. Been working for the railroad for 26 years and haven't thought much about it.
