April Application

I mailed my packet in on April 18 and was updated yesterday, May 19, to background check under review. Looks like they are moving along pretty well recently

Since DPS hired extra help its cut the update time in half. When I mailed off my packet it took over 2 months to get my first update. Glad they finally got smart and hired help.

That's good to know! Glad they put our tax payer dollars for good use -- finally!

Status Update

4/12/13 - Submitted online application
4/20/13 - CHL class taken w/Jack Burch
4/20/13 - Fast Fingerprinting done during class
4/24/13 - Required documents scanned and submitted online
5/22/13 - Shows up online!

It appears that if you upload online you save a significant amount of time.

Congrats and hopefully it will be all green soon.

You don't need photos. They can use the one from your DL.

05/10 - Email from DPS that documents were received


Looks like I'm about a week out for an update based on chane's timeline...

DRAT!! I was pretty $%^& sure that I included my class cert in my packet; not sure what happened there. Good news is that I kept a copy and can provide it via the upload system. Helpful lady on the phone at DPS even gave me my _future_ CHL number to use for the upload.
